Default 2 man Urgoz

I got bored doing my homework, so I decided to distract myself by booting my laptop into XP and running two copies of GW at the same time. I slapped a quick build on either of my accounts, grouped them, and this is what resulted:

There were sadly no chests, and I doubt I wouldve been able to handle Thorn Wolves anyways. But, this raises a very interesting point - you can Hero-way Urgoz.

This is important because it only takes 1-2 people to actually kill Urgoz, and if the Heroes are flagged far enough away they will not be assigned drops. Meaning that your chance of getting each of the green bows goes from one in 12, to one in 3. (ideally one for everyone)

I found that trying to play two accounts, AND manage their heroes to be a *bit* much for me, but as you can see I got fairly far with it.

I plan on going through and doing this later in the week, but will need some help... if that sounds like your idea of a good idea (fun AND profitable) then contribute here.

Now all thats left is to decide the ideal party composition.

I think that an Earth ele tank would not be a bad idea, at all, since they are capable of taking -0 from Fire Flowers, can be made immune to knockdowns and spells, and they play well with the idiot heroes. QZ benefits them greatly, which is a favorite of trappers... an Urgoz staple.

I really really doubt that heroes will be able to manage their spell usage well in exhaustion areas, so that adds even more of a reason to use Barrage Rangers.

Razah can be used as a Rit hero, if someone has him, but since thats unlikely, and Ritualists are so useful, its likely best to have a Ritualist as a player-character. Since EOE is needed for killing Urgoz, you can slide that into your bar as well.

And, hero Monks do not use Heal Party how they should. This is major, and requires A) cleverness B) manual use C) a PC with Heal Party. This gives you a wide bit of room in the third PC, as Prodigy eles can HP spam well, but so can Monks with BIP backup / Light of Deliverance.

One of the benefits of using Heroes as damage dealers, is that they can be forced to follow targets. Unlike PUG'ers.

Thoughts?

This is sweet! I have been wondering how to solo urgoz (that and DoA are the only reasons i live =P) but really, you dont need to solo him. Three people is more then enough. I will have to try this if i can find a ferry.

Edit" Yeah PM me too ingame, The Red Nagus is my monk, who i am probably best with.

Hmm...don't see any reason to cover your bars...you're pretty much running a generic urgoz group (except with heroes) or an sf / modded. Basically you've just simplified builds to reduce micro-ing and allow you to more easily get drops.

Dude, he took/controled an EIGHT member party (where, if I remember correctly, you can have 12 members in your party). Yes, the Heroes can do a little thinking on their own, but actually getting as far as he did, using two computers and controling EVERY action that two of characters made is amazing. There is no "basically" about it.

BTW: Ubermancer, you sooo missed 108 gp.

No kidding!

And I black out my bars because people nitpicking of my skill usage is even more annoying then people bitching about how I didnt show them my build.

The amount of MMing (ie, Micro Management) that this requires is absurd, though. Heroes are pretty damn retarded and will run *into* Life Drain in order to cast spells, even if they are in range of their foe already! Not to mention that they pretty much refuse to use Heal Party. I literally had my left hand on the skill usage buttons for my laptop, and my right on the skill usage buttons for my desktop. I had both of my trackball mice out, though I tried to not use both of those at the same time, as its typically more efficient to use one mouse well then two poorly.

Oh, and for the record's sake, (unmodified!) Mac Laptops are more then capable of keeping up with Dell desktops in Guild Wars

Gz on doing it solo on 2 comps.

I cant see what heroes u used so i cant say alot of what would help.
Something to think about wich might help:

R/X with High beast, markman, expertise
Let the pet tank by using skills wich reduce the dmg they recieved combined with barrage should make it a nice combo. U need EoE anyhow so it could fit in....

N/X usable as a SS/FoC.

Would like to try this sometime feel free to PM me in the forums or in game if i have my comp running again (Posting from laptop).

Ubermancer, great idea and concept (of the 3 man thing).
BTW excellent job handling 2 accounts.. i remember doing 55/SS runs back in the day with that.. and that was crazy, i cant even imagine 6 heros too.

Also, I'm in if my schedule allows. I have a monk, ritualist, but if you need anything, i can surely get it to House of Zu.

Wouldn't it have been alot easier to go with 3 real people, each using 3 heros? That way its 1 green each and it will go about 300x faster.

Happens. Flag them. Individually.

EDIT: Oh, and it didnt take me 2 hours to get to where I did 'solo'.
